Off the back of the shimmering introduction we received in the form of 'Diamonds' just a few weeks ago, new duo Dayliites are back with another single this week. Premiering on Purple Sneakers today, Dayliites (comprised of Cloe Terare and Paces) add another sweet little bop to their resume with 'Boyfriend', and confirm our suspicions this is a pair worth keeping an eye on.

Combining elements of hip hop and lofi indie pop, Dayliites draw on their respective histories to create a gentle yet commanding sound you can't help but get lost in. Terare's pop-leaning vocals are just so lovely to listen to, positively floating above the intricate, delicate production courtesy of Paces. On 'Boyfriend', they double down on this to create another laidback, catchy track we can't get enough of.

Terare explains their newest “was the most fun track to record and really came together the easiest in the studio...it’s gotten me through a few long drives back to Toowoomba at night,” whiles PACES adds, “Yeah out of all the songs we’ve made, this one is definitely the most fun to sing along to in your car with it turned up super loud.”

The coming together of two artists with already realised artistic visions can be a difficult challenge in terms of being able to work together so well, but with Dayliites, the pair sound like a perfect fit indeed. Listen to 'Boyfriend' below.
