Live Review: PREMIERE: MICRA bring their gorgeous new single 'Under My Skin' to life with golden hour live video

Just last month, Sydney duo MICRA gifted us with another blissful slice of dream pop with their latest single 'Under My Skin'. Released alongside some gorgeous visuals shot in a desert landscape, the pair doubled down on the serenity by whisking us to a faraway land with thanks to the stunning location and hypnotic visual effects. Now, they go one step further by sharing a live performance of their new single, which is premiering exclusively on Purple Sneakers today.

Filmed in Avalon, NSW, MICRA keep things simple with a glorious light-filled room for their acoustic live performance of 'Under My Skin'. Shot during what looks to be golden hour and with a luscious, rainforest-like background, it's another beautiful visual accompaniment for their single. With Bulgarian born and raised singer/guitarist Ivana Kafedjiyska on acoustic guitar and vocals, and Australian guitarist/producer Robbie Cain on live production and guitar, it's a breath of fresh air watching the duo bring this song to life.

Of the meaning behind the song, Kafedjiyska said, “It’s the realisation that everything that you feel happens under the skin (and) the fixation of time passing, which I tend to focus on a little too much."

“All these discomforts and thoughts are intimate sensations under the skin. Sometimes you have to sit in a feeling and let go only by letting it in.”
