Skin on Skin delivers Valentine’s Day bliss with ‘For Your Safe Keeping’ mixtape

Skin on Skin

Skin on Skin has released a brand new mixtape, serving as the second instalment in his For Your Safe Keeping mixtape series. Released on Valentine’s Day, so while the day might be over for another year (thankfully), this mixtape is the perfect soundtrack all year round.

Gentle, unhurried and still meticulous, SOS‘s versatility is on display with FYSK002. Custom made for those open air, afternoon into evening parties we all miss so dearly, it’s got enough behind it to keep things chugging along while light enough to deliver some transcendence and breezy bliss as well. ‘Days in Japan’ is a particular highlight, with racing drum lines underpinning some shimmering and nostalgic synths before a bouncing bass kicks into gear.

Speaking of the new release, he said, “I’m very happy to return with the For Your Safe Keeping mixtape series. FYSK002 is a 9 track mixtape I wrote with the thought of everyone i love in mind ♥️”

“okay thank you and enjoy! happy valentine’s day, i love you all!”

The producer also made the first instalment available again as well. Teaming up with artist Vissy Hoffi for the artwork, FYSK002 is available via Bandcamp now, with a pay what you like price. This is the latest release we’ve received from the producer since his collaborative release with jamesjamesjamesA Butterfly In-between Time, in November 2020. Listen to the release below!
