Denzel Curry and Kenny Beats announce new album featuring Arlo Parks, Smino and more
Denzel Curry and Kenny Beats have announced a new version of their 2020 EP, 'Unlocked', is on the way with a whole slew of stellar guests.
Twelve months on from the release of their collaborative joint EP, Unlocked, Denzel Curry and Kenny Beats are doubling down on that record and have announced a forthcoming new release which will see the pair reimagine the eight original tracked.
Titled Unlocked 1.5, this new record will feature a sonic smorgasbord of exciting names including Arlo Parks, Joey Bada$$, Benny the Butcher and Kenny Mason, as well as production collaborations from The Alchemist, Charlie Heat, Sango, Jay Versace, Georgia Anne Muldrow. Smino and Robert Glasper also feature on the record, and appeared on the first single from Unlocked 1.5, 'So.Incredible.pkg'. Smino, Curry's actual cousin, sounds right at home alongside Denzel, and the pair of them slot right into the gorgeous production courtesy of Glasper.
Tipped to be the first moves of what is set to be a busy year for the rapper, Denzel Curry also released an accompanying trailer for the project which also stars Kenny Beats and a number of the album's guests. Honestly after hearing 'So.Incredible.pkg', we wouldn't even mind if Zel and Kenny took over the world.
