Copenhagen-based songwriter and producer Erika de Casier has delighted fans this week with news that her second album is on the way. Titled Sensational, the album is set for release on 21 May 2021 via 4AD / Remote Control Records. To celebrate, she's also shared a brand new single as well in the form of anti-bad boy anthem, 'Polite'.

Inspired by a terrible experience on a date with a guy who was rude to the waitress and only spoke about himself, de Casier penned the song as a way to say the things she wish she said at the time. “You gotta have some manners if you wanna roll with me," she sings, putting the rude date firmly in their place.

The news of Sensational comes after two other, already released singles in 'No Butterflies, No Nothing' and 'Drama', and follows on from her beautiful 2019 debut album, Essentials. While her debut focused on the formative stages of love when you're in deep infatuation, Sensational is reported to see the artist deliver more attitude and will tackle everything from relationship dramas, stereotypes of single women, and the toxicity of dating. Seemingly a cathartic process of rewriting already-past experiences and fantasising about what could've been, the three already released singles start to paint a picture of an album we cannot wait to hear.
