BROCKHAMPTON - BANKROLL (Ft. A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg)

The best boy band since One Direction is back with a brand new album this week titled Count On Me. It's another big shake up from BROCKHAMPTON, a band which prides itself on remaining ahead of the curve and keeping their fans on their toes. 'BANKROLL' is one of many highlights, and sees the group tap both A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg for added flair. Both Rocky and Ferg are on their A-game, over a blistering beat and matching the energy of BROCKHAMPTON for a total firestarter.

AGUNG MANGO - 120fps

One of the country's most exciting hip hop forces, Agung Mango proves he simply cannot miss once again with his new release. Coming in the form of a double single '120fps/WISEFOOL', the artist takes a big step away from the brazen, abrasive nature of 'LITTLE BUM'. Instead, it's a slowed down, funk-driven number which hears him tackle his inner demons head on. Is there nothing Agung Mango can't do?

GODLANDS - Out My Face

It's been a minute since we've heard from Adelaide producer, self proclaimed hellraiser and superstar on the rise, Godlands, but this week she proves the wait was well and truly worth it with her latest single. Titled 'Out My Face', it's a strong return to form from the bass producer, showing an added versatility and innovation to her sound we can't get enough of. Turn this one up LOUD!

GABRIEL GARZÓN-MONTANO - Agüita (Ft. Sampa The Great and Amber Mark)

Following on from the release of his incredible 2020 album, Agüita, Gabriel Garzón-Montano is this week continuing the celebrations with a remix of the title track featuring by Sampa The Great & Amber Mark. A formidable trio, this remix is a cross-cultural collaboration for the ages with each artist in peak form and bringing their magical best to the new version. Read our in depth interview with Gabriel Garzón-Montano here.

ABBY BELLA MAY - Bindii Patch

Sydney-based dream pop artist Abby Bella May has released a new single titled 'Bindii Patch'. Teaming up with PS favourite Taka Perry for production and co-writing, 'Bindii Patch' is sweet, simple and so much fun to listen to. Abby Bella May's quaint and gentle vocals are the perfect match for the bubbly, boppy production, and her relatable lyrics are sure to strike a chord with many. She's been on our radar for a while now, but really hits her stride on this track!

MALL GRAB, EFFY - FMG

Mall Grab has teamed up rising star Effy for a new track in 'FMG'. Fresh off their mix for BBC Radio 1, they've joined forces for a grinding, glitchy heater which showcases a fusion of the respective talents coming together to make rave-centric harmony. It's not for the faint-hearted, and will surely be getting an absolute rinsing come June when the UK opens up and these two can take to live crowds where they belong.

THE AVALANCHES - Since I Left You (Prince Paul Remix)

Alongside the news that they're celebrating 20 years since their iconic album, Since I Left YouThe Avalanches are getting ready to follow up their award winning 2020 album, We Will Always Love You, with a stack of remixes from their debut. They kick things off with a glorious remix of the title track courtesy of Prince Paul, which maintains the hallmarks of the original with added vocal performances which give the song even more soul. It's total bliss.

JAYDA G - All I Need - DJ-Kicks

For frequent Purple Sneakers readers, there should be no surprise that a new Jayda G track would wind up on our Best Songs of The Week, but you only need one listen to know why this one is here. As her DJ-Kicks offering, she delivers classic Jayda G: warm, uplifting, feel-good house with a slight infusion of disco. For those who were fans of 'Both Of Us' and 'Are U Down' last year (who isn't?), this one's for you!

TKAY MAIDZA - Syrup

Tkay Maidza continues to evolve and develop as an artist, even with nearly ten years in the game. She continues her hot streak of innovative, exciting and forward-thinking hip hop this week with the foreboding, assertive and bold 'Syrup' and we cannot get enough. That hook is a morning mantra waiting to happen.

ROISIN MUPRHY - Assimilation

Róisín Murphy announced a remix album of her impeccable 2020 album, Róisín Machine, this week and kicked things off with the release of its first remix. Teaming up with Crooked Man aka DJ Parrot (who produced the original album), this new record is called Crooked Machine, and its first taste in the form of 'Assimilation' (a take on 'Simulation') is just what the doctor ordered. Down tempo, softer and chilled out, it's the perfect introduction to this new version of Róisín Machine.
