Fresh off the back of her stellar Boiler Room set, Bundjalung/North Coast based DJ and producer Luen has given us another taste into her sonic universe, by way of 'Meow'. The timing of the single could not have been better, with Luen set to take on Sydney/Eora's Civic Underground this Friday night, accompanied by Ciara and Mintox. the track featured as the opening track to her Boiler Room set, which saw Luen slay the stage with a range of house, techno and rhythm fuelled gems.

The proceeds of the track will be donated to the Children's Ground Charity, led by First Nations communities across Australia. It features a breaky drum pattern combining perfectly with a wobbly bass line to hold down the tracks rhythmic end. Melodically, the top of the track is minimal, focussing heavily on eerie samples, vocal chops and a brooding wave like synth line teased throughout the track.

On the creation of the the track, Luen stated, 'Something I wrote during the quiet time of Autumn, when all the leaves were falling from the trees. I added the lil meow vocal a few days before playing it out for the first time at boiler room last week. This one is a little thankyou and an i love you for tuning in and keeping touch over the weird last year we've all had.'

You can catch Luen at her headline show this Friday, the 11th of June at Civic Underground. Event info HERE.
