Sleeping giant RÜFÜS DU SOL has been woken this morning, with the band releasing their massive new single, 'Alive' first release since SOLACE

The sleeping giant RÜFÜS DU SOL is now awake, with the band releasing their massive new single, 'Alive'. It's the first release since their 2018, Grammy nominated 'SOLACE' record. Since then, they've become a legacy Australian electronic act, conquering the world with their incredible live show. In their absence they've been quietly crafting an evolved sonic world ready to be explored by their fans. The first taste of this, is 'Alive'

'Alive' is a musical journey. It keeps the darkness and eeriness explored by their earlier work, paired with a unique uplifting energy, seemingly built for the live stage and wowing massive audiences. It ebbs and flows in energy, exploring the highs and lows of the past couple of years we've faced. The break beat percussion line combines perfect with Tyrone Lindqvist’s vocal performance. A delivery of sharp lyricism that is filled with personal emotion, while still remaining extremely relatable.

In lead singer Lindqvist’s own words, “It’s a heavier song in some ways, but at its core it's hopeful. We are - all of us - living in this transitional moment right now and we wanted to focus on the hope that the future holds for us all. To focus on the light at the end of this tunnel."
