Portland raised hitmaker and rapper Aminé has today returned with his new song and video, 'Charmander'. The track is his first release since his highly acclaimed 2020 album, Limbo, which featured tracks such as 'Compensating (ft. Young Thug)', 'Woodlawn' and 'Shimmy'. Aminé has always had a knack for unique, hip-hop songwriting. Whether his catchy, synth driven glitchy breakthrough single, 'Caroline', to his flute and bass heavy, 'Reel It In', he creates a sonic tone that adds colour and pizzazz to the contemporary hip hop sound. His new single, continues this trend, delivering yet another hit worthy, left field banger.

'Charmander' raises the energy and tempo (quite literally) of his discography. Aminé floats over a bubbly and club driven beat, as he ponders comically about reclusion and introspection. Banging percussion and low end, a chirpy catchy vocal sample, and one of Aminé's smoothest deliveries to date feature across its just over 2 minute run time.

Speaking about the genesis of 'Charmander', Aminé shares, "After the release of Limbo I took some time to experiment and challenge myself to create in ways I hadn’t before — exploring different textures and tempos without any expectations. 'Charmander' was the first product of that period that felt natural while still being at a completely different BPM than any of my previous work".
