JK-47, KYE, 1300 and e4444e lead new Sydney live event series

Sydney/Eora's newest performing arts centre, Phoenix Central Park has announced the details of their third season of music programming, featuring JK-47.

Sydney/Eora's newest performing arts centre, Phoenix Central Park has announced the details of their third season of music programming.

After the global pandemic delayed the public opening of the building by a year, the performance space has rejuvenated the art district of Chippendale, and has presented two seasons of musical programming since February 2021.

The lineup features a range of diverse and unique artists that traverse genre, with a whole heap of Purple Sneakers favourites on the list.

On February 3rd pioneering First Nations rapper JK-47 will perform, e4444e will be performing a full-band set of his sophomore record on the 24th of February, Sydney's first Korean rap group 1300 will deliver their booming rap beats on the 17th of March, and Melbourne based, Zimbabwe born, London raised artist KYE. will deliver her unique take on Modern soul on the 18th of March.

Creative Director Beau Neilson says the latest season continues Phoenix’s ambition to be a beacon for Australian talent.

“We have programmed ten acts who each connect with distinct audiences and will bring a completely new group of people to come through our doors with every performance. That is by design.”

“Not only are we intent on giving our audiences something to look forward to in trying times, but we also believe it’s essential to be resolute in our mission to support artists and provide a solid and beautiful platform for the presentation of their work.”
