FKA Twigs Announces New Mixtape ‘Caprisongs’ To Release Next Week
FKA twigs has today announced her new mixtape Caprisongs, set to be released next week on the 14th of January.
The mixtape, recorded over lockdowns and Covid closures will feature 17 tracks, including her recent collaboration with the Weeknd, ‘Tears In The Club’ as well as collaborations from the likes of Jorja Smith, Rema, Daniel Caesar, Shygirl, Pa Salieu and many more.
The mixtape is executive produced alongside El Guincho, and features guest production from the likes of Koreless, P2J, Mike Dean, Arca, Psymun, Warren Ellis, Sega Bodega, and more.
It’s her first official release since her 2019 record, Magdalene. In a statement about the mixtape she stated, “Caprisongs is my journey back to myself through my amazing collaborators and friends.”
“Caprisongs… it’s bronzer in the sink, alco pop on the side, a cherry lolly, apple juice when you’re thirsty, friends in the park, your favourite person, that one sentence somebody said to you that changed everything, a club pre-game, your bestie who is always late but brings the most to the party, meeting a friend at the airport, just togetherness.”
FKA twigs Caprisongs releases next week on Friday the 14th of January.
