Eora/Sydney based electronic production duo 700 Feel have released two new tracks, 4 Ya Kiss / 4 Ya Bliss.
The duo, comprised of Jonny Hawkins and Juan Villamor have excelled in releasing electronic music that is equal parts infatuating as it is experimental. Their recent release joins their self titled, fan adored full length and album aswell as their debut release T1 Western / Back 2 the Area, a collection of music inspired by worldly electronic inspirations while aimed firmly at their community.
4 Ya Kiss / 4 Ya Bliss continues this genre defiant sound, utilising bass heavy rhythmic sections and dubs and wrapping them in a gloss of ambient textures. Be blown away by the tracks' skewing rhythms, unfamiliar structure and vibe while feeling at home in their warmth, soul and personality.
Speaking to the release, they explain “We’ve always recognised many creative parallels and connections between the worlds of Chopped and Screwed and Dub. Both genres were pioneered by people who used what they had and despite their limitations came up with respective sounds that were completely new and unique and whose reach has extended past any and all borders in genres.
"With their use of Reverb, Delay, and Pitch Control; they created entire worlds and ecosystems in their music. These two tracks draw heavily on techniques we’ve learned studying these two worlds and our exploration in using the techniques in an electronic context.”
The release is also joined by a music video for the singles' A Side, directed by Maria Juliana Villamor and edited by Passive Kneeling.
