Fatboy Slim (aka Norman Cook) the legendary UK DJ and producer, is set to embark on his highly anticipated Y’all are the music, we’re just the DJ’s Australian tour, which will see him perform in four major cities in April and May 2023.

Adding to the excitement, it has just been announced that Brisbane's electronic outfit Confidence Man and Australian-born LA-based DJ, vocalist, producer and songwriter Anna Lunoe will be joining him as special guests for the tour.

Opening for all shows on the tour will be Lunoe, who is known for her work as a DJ, radio host, producer, vocalist, and curator in the dance scene.

Starting as a radio host on Australia’s FBi community radio, Anna quickly rose to prominence on the airwaves and soon emerged as one of the best DJ’s amidst Australia’s burgeoning dance scene.

She released her debut Anna Lunoe & Friends EP in 2012, establishing herself as not only an exceptional DJ but producer as well. From there she bounced one club banger to the next releasing on Future Classic, Fools Gold, Mad Decent, and OWSLA while becoming a crowd favourite in the USA live circuit, appearing at Coachella, Lollapalooza, & EDC Las Vegas, where she was the first solo female at to play the main stage.

In 2021, she shook up the scene with her single, Back Seat (ft Genesis Owusu), while 2022 saw the release of her highly acclaimed EP Saturday Love and the 10-year anniversary release of Real Talk which featured a Boys Noize remix.

Following her set, Confidence Man will take the stage to warm up the crowd with their energetic and infectious beats, before Fatboy Slim brings his signature style of British dance music to the stage.

Since their conception, this electro-popping four-piece (led by Janet Planet and Sugar Bones) have played at some of the biggest festivals in the world including Glastonbury, Rock en Seine, Primavera Sound, Governors Ball, and Australia's own Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival.

Their 2018 debut album, Confident Music For Confident People, garnered international praise, while their second studio album, TILT, which received an ARIA nomination in 2022 for Best Dance/Electronic Release.

The tour kicks off on Friday 28 April at Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne, which has already sold out, before heading to Riverstage in Brisbane on Wednesday 3 May, The Showring at Entertainment Quarter in Sydney on Friday 5 May, and finally Burswood Park in Perth on Sunday 7 May.

The shows promise to be an unforgettable experience for fans of electronic and dance music, with Fatboy Slim's infectious beats, Anna Lunoe's unique blend of styles, and Confidence Man's high-energy performances in what's set to be one of the biggest music events of the year in Australia.

Tickets are still available for the Brisbane, Sydney, and Perth shows and can be purchased through Frontier Touring's website.

Fatboy Slim took the UK acid house scene by storm in the '90s with his hit singles, Everybody Needs A 303 and Going Out Of My Head. The Rockafeller Skank came next, followed by the hit album, You've Come A Long Way Baby and the UK #1 smash, Praise You and the club banger, Right Here Right Now, as well as the famous track which starred Christopher Walken in its Spike Jonze-directed music videoWeapon Of Choice.

Speaking of his return to the land Down Under, the dance icon said, "I have been separated from my long-lost family for way too long, Australia I can't wait to see you again."

His May 2023 Australian dates mark his first stops here since January/February 2020.
