Coachella 2023 kicked off with a bang on weekend one, and Australia's own Fisher did Down Under proud with one of the most energetic sets of the evening.

Joining Chris Lake on stage for a b2b set at the Outdoor Theatre, the duo kicked off the wild set with Josh Wink & Lil’ LouisHow’s Your Evening So Far, setting the tone for what would be one of the most talked-about sets of the day.

Among the other tracks dropped during the set included Portugal. The ManDummy, Gotye ft. Kimbra – Somebody That I Used To Know (Sante Sansone Edit), Bob Sinclar ft. Steve Edwards – World, Hold On (Children Of The Sky), Pryda – Sol (Chris Lake Remix), and many more tunes that had punters partying hard.

Once the pair dropped their most famous track, Losing It, the crowd were well and truly - well, losing it.

The epic set went on to receive a wealth of praise from those who were lucky enough to experience the show, with many commenting on Fisher's energetic stage presence throughout the performance.

One concertgoer commented on Reddit, "Hands down the best vibes in the crowd all weekend. Super friendly and dope people".

Another added, "Probably the most fun my wife and I had all weekend. FAT drops, sound system was on point, and the crowd was dancing their asses off. A+"

Even those who weren't fans gave praise to the Aussie DJ for one hell of a set, with one adding, "I really dislike Fisher's music but the dude knows how to throw a party. Chris is an awesome dude and a great talent. Despite my dislike for Fisher I wish we would've gone rather than chill at Frank."

Some went as far as to dub the set as the real Coachella headline show, following Frank Ocean's lacklustre performance, which was an hour late and ended early due to curfew.

It's not the first time Fisher has hit the decks at Coachella - he and Lake famously debuted the would-be gargantuan hit that would be Losing It back in at Coachella's DoLab tent during Lake's 75-min set back in 2019. The rest, as they say, is history.
