Presale tickets go live this afternoon!
Secret Sounds have today (September 19) announced the lineup for the next edition of the Heaps Good festival, headlined by some of the world’s biggest dance and pop heavyweights: Flume, Foals and The Avalanches.
This year’s gig will be the first of its kind to be held in Naarm/Melbourne and Meanjin/Brisbane, following its Kaurna/Adelaide debut last year. It fills the gap left by the lack of a 2023 Falls Festival, with Secret Sounds putting the latter event on hiatus earlier this year. Heaps Good was initially launched as a Falls spin-off for Adelaide concertgoers, hosting many of the acts appearing on its 2022 lineup (such as Arctic Monkeys, Peggy Gou, CHVRCHES and Jamie xx).
Joining the aforementioned headliners at Heaps Good ’23 will be a suite of dancefloor deviants including Griff, Holly Humberstone, MAY-A, Sycco and Logan. SBTRKT will perform exclusively in Melbourne and Brisbane, too, and Basement Jaxx will deliver a one-off DJ set in Melbourne. Brisbane and Adelaide punters will also have the chance to catch a performance by Declan McKenna.
Also returning to Adelaide will be the Sound Archive dance stage, this year headlined by Mall Grab and rounded out by Kettama, Salute, Logic1000, Denim and Rona.
Heaps Good 2023/24 will kick off at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Sunday December 31, followed by a show in Sandstone Point on Tuesday January 4, 2024. It’ll then end with the returning Adelaide Showground edition on Saturday January 6. Tickets for the festival go on sale at 4pm AEST tomorrow (September 20), with a presale kicking off at the same time today (September 19) – head here for info on both sales.
In a statement shared last month, Heaps Good producer Paul Piticco said of the festival’s return and expansion: “The inaugural Heaps Good was such a great day and we’re thrilled to take it on the road to more music lovers around the country over the coming New Year. Heaps Good is all about keeping it simple... single-day shows in convenient locations with great artists and your best mates.”
