Melanie C Joins Crooked Colours, Felix Da Housecat, Odd Mob + More For Palooza 2023

The Victoria Racing Club (VRC) has today announced that former Spice Girl Melanie C will set the stage ablaze at Flemington as she headlines the Melbourne Cup Carnival’s Palooza, on TAB Champions Stakes Day.

For the first time in nearly 25 years, Sporty Spice will make her return Down Under alongside a slew of talented acts she takes over the Palooza main stage with her DJ set on the final day of Cup Week.

Her performance at Palooza will be her only Melbourne show before she embarks on a string of intimate gigs across the country, marking her first-ever solo tour dates in Australia. Melanie C will play dates in other major cities across the country, with more details on the tour soon to be announced.

The festivities will kick off on Penfolds Victoria Derby Day with performances from sought-after acts in dance music like Crooked Colours, Felix Da Housecat, Late Nite Tuff Guy, and Odd Mob.

Continuing on Lexus Melbourne Cup Day, Ministry of Sound Anthems will take the stage, featuring sets from Tonite Only, Tommy Trash, Groove City, John Course, and Karina Charvez.

Kennedy Oaks Day will see the sensational Kah-lo leading the lineup, accompanied by captivating performances from Running Touch DJ Set and Sneaky Sound System.

The entertainment in Palooza will reach its crescendo on TAB Champions Stakes Day with Jax Jones and Topic supporting Mel C on the final day of Cup Week.

Palooza, set to transform the east end of the Nursery at Flemington for the summer festival season, will feature The Wave 55 by Stagekings, a state-of-the-art structure promising a non-stop, all-weather entertainment destination.

For a ticket price of $295, Palooza-goers will enjoy not only Melanie C's performance but also food, drinks, and general entry into the racecourse, making for an all-encompassing entertainment schedule.

For those seeking the ultimate Palooza experience, VIP tickets are available. Limited to 500 tickets per day, the VIP experience includes everything a general Palooza ticket offers plus a VIP entry lane, VIP viewing deck to catch all the action on stage, a dedicated undercover VIP area, access to a VIP private Pimm's Garden, a private bar, betting facilities, and amenities from just $445.

The 2023 Melbourne Cup Carnival is set to kick off with Penfolds Victoria Derby Day on Saturday 4 November, followed by Lexus Melbourne Cup Day on the first Tuesday of November on 7 November, Kennedy Oaks Day on Thursday 9 November, and VRC Champions Stakes Day on Saturday 11 November.
