Moderat Announce Debut Australian Tour

30 November 2022 | 9:41 am | Parry Tritsiniotis

With their new set they reflect on the digital overload and frustration we've all faced over the last few years, providing an opportunity to leave the moments behind.

Supergroup Moderat are bringing their live show to Australia for the first time ever this March.

The combination of producers Apparat and Modeselektor have created a singular sound driven by electronic pop fuses with rich melodies, pop vocals and driving electronic dance beats.

They'll kick their tour off in Melbourne at The Forum on the 10th of March before heading to Sydney for a show at The Enmore Theatre on the 12th of March, followed by a final performance in Brisbane at The Princess Theatre on the 13th of March.

Moderat announced they would be going on hiatus in 2017 at a hometown show in Berlin. With fans unsure whether they'd ever return, six years after their last album, they released MORE D4TA in 2022, a reflection of the tumultuous few years created through a lens of emotional pop music and atmospheric electronica. It expands their already distinct sonic world, utilising modular composition, field recordings and other sonic oddities to teeter across electronic genres while maintaining the electro pop sound the trio have become famous for.

With extreme experience under their belt, the group have performed stellar sets at some of the biggest festivals in the world, including Coachella, Glastonbury and Primavera. With their new set, they reflect on the digital overload and frustration we've all faced over the last few years, providing an opportunity to leave the moments behind.
