He's also teased fans with news of a potential double album landing later this year.
Skrillex has announced that his new single Rumble alongside Fred again.. and Flowdan will release sometime today (January 4th).
He posted a teaser of the track yesterday on social media, tagging his collaborators and today's date. The track has been hotly anticipated online by fans, with many demanding the release of the track after first listening to it in Fred Again..'s now undisputedly viral Boiler Room set.
On New Years Day, he also posted a compilation of snippets of new music with the caption QFF/DGTC 2023, with many fans suspecting that he will release a double album this year.
In May of 2022, Skrillex confirmed he would have two records coming. He was set to play two festivals to support both records but instead pulled out of the shows. He stated, "Over the past few months, I’ve been working very hard on finishing my albums and haven’t had enough time to prepare for the upcoming shows.
“I hope you can all understand that this was a very difficult decision for me to make, but I’ll be back soon with the show you all deserve.”

In 2021 he ended a long drought of releases with a range of one-off singles including Butterflies alongside Four Tet and Starrah, Too Bizarre with Swae Lee and Siiickbrain, Don't Go with Justin Bieber and Don Toliver and ‘Supersonic (My Existence)’ with Noisia, Josh Pan and 100 Gecs‘ Dylan Brady.
