More SZA More SZA

Due to unprecedented demand, American singer-songwriter and Glastonbury headliner SZA has added new dates to her upcoming SOS Australian and New Zealand tour.

Heading to Australia and New Zealand for a massive arena tour next month, it seems that fans can’t get enough of the Kill Bill singer, with additional concerts coming to Auckland and Melbourne. With the new dates, SZA will perform three shows in Auckland, Sydney, and Melbourne, as well as two in Brisbane.

The new dates also act to open and close the tour, with the added Auckland date happening on Saturday, 13 April, and the Melbourne gig happening on Thursday, 2 May. You can find all the tour dates below.

Tickets to the new show (and the remaining Australian concerts) go on sale tomorrow at 2 pm AEDT. Tickets to the Auckland show will be available at 2 pm local time. All tickets will be sold via the Live Nation website.

Today’s announcement follows last month's announcement of additional dates in Brisbane and Sydney. The tour, supporting SZA’s chart-topping December 2022 album of the same name, marks her first stops down under in five years.

SZA's return to Australia follows her successful night at this year’s Grammy Awards, where she was the most nominated artist with nine nods. She took home three awards, including Best Progressive R&B Album for SOS, Best R&B Song for Snooze, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her collaboration with Phoebe Bridgers on Ghost In The Machine.

SOS contains 23 essential tracks and includes features from Phoebe Bridgers, Travis Scott, Don Toliver, and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard.

Following the release of SOS, the album sat atop the Billboard 200 chart for ten non-consecutive weeks, the longest-running #1 by a female artist of the decade. The album also became the first R&B release to top the chart for seven weeks since Whitney Houston’s 1987 album, Whitney.
