If you're a fan of soundscapes you can get lost in for days, intricately created and swelling and swirling in your mind, then you're going to love this. If you're not quite acquainted, this song is a perfect introduction. Brisbane duo DREAM COAST are gearing up to release their debut album, Golden Haze, in just over a week, and today they've given us a sneak peek of what we can expect with 'Limboland'.

Tight, refined and flawlessly put together, 'Limboland' is as intoxicating as it is intricate. You find yourself letting your mind descend into its many layers, being effortlessly guided by the way it slowly snakes its way along. Easily placed both in a solitary listening session on some good headphones in your bedroom as it is for an intense live setting, 'Limboland' delivers an enthralling experience wherever you're hearing it.

Taking inspiration from the likes of BOARDS OF CANADAMASSIVE ATTACKSURVIVE and more, Dream Coast put together their album during a busy and chaotic period in their lives. One half of the pair, Josh, said, "The album is about creating a perfect dream world far from ours, a sort of ‘Dream Coast’. The themes of the album include the passage of time, anxiety, escapism and confronting reality.”

While 'Limboland' is technically about struggling with anxiety and the pressure of uncertainty in the future -and that is clearly evident in its tense builds with little release, not to mention the foreboding synths sounding almost like warning sirens- there is nothing more certain than the fact that Dream Coast are sitting on an immensely impressive record with Golden Haze.

Golden Haze is out June 8th.
