Off the back of wrapping up a massive ten-date Australian tour over the last two months, New Zealand producer QUIX is just getting started. He's in the midst of track frenzy right now - dropping singles in preparation to release his next full body of work, an EP on Steve Aoki's seminal label Dim Mak titled Illusions.
The latest one to be released is one featuring vocalist Jaden Michaels. Titled 'Giving Up', this one sees QUIX go back to his roots, creating something hugely emotive and powerful.
Of the track, he said:

"I believe I wrote about 5 different drops for this track, some of them were cool but not fitting for this vocal and overall feel of the song... I especially wanted this track to be remembered with it having a powerful first drop and a hard second drop. In the end, I'm very happy with how this came out and I'm pleased to say that I have many more songs on the way!"
It's minimal trap at its best, and something that QUIX has fast become known to really hone in on very well.
To celebrate the release of the new single, he put together a massive twenty minutes filled with a variety of minimal and big-room trap, as well as some takes on classics, including Ekali's Tribute of Flux Pavilion's 'I Can't Stop' and a huge RL Grime remix of The Weeknd's 'The Hills'.
Listen back to the mix in full below and tune into Purple Sneakers on FBi Radio every Saturday night from 5-6pm AEST.
