NINA KRAVITZ doesn’t tolerate members of the public who XTL when it comes to sexism. She recently lashed-back at critics who are down on her ongoing advocacy with fighting words.

However a Youtube video titled ‘Between the Beats’ has been posted recently documenting NINA’s monumental tour across Europe, this included scenes of Kraviz in a bubble bath, and a bikini. KRAVIZ acknowledged the video was “a bit too focused on me as a female”. She was publicly criticized for this by world renowned and widely respected DJ GREG WILSON among many others to which she responded with the following

“…the innocent and in my opinion lovely shoot in the bath makes you mad. So funny. This video is about DJ on the road. And DJs take baths sometimes … you wanted me to be on the beach in winter clothes?”

Miami’s DJ MACEO also weighed in on the debate with a fairly sarcastic comment: “…i'm so happy blatant uses of sexuality and superficiality can take the place of hustling vinyl and spending countless hours in the studio”

Plex gave a shout-out to female DJs “pushing the scene forward with … sick records and studio time”, including CASSY BRITTON. So, KRAVIZ responded by posting one of CASSY’s album covers on his facebook page.

Plex deleted the post and expressed his regret at the short-lived feud in an interview with the UK’s ‘The Independent’.

“I never … meant to attack … my whole feeling was about the overall marketing strategy … But, in hindsight, we all have strong opinions … I’m in a unique position where my voice can be heard by many and I used it for the wrong reasons”.

NINA KRAVIZ’ ‘Behind The Beats’ documentary is now available to stream via the Resident Advisor YouTube Channel.
